About Community Indicators
Community Indicators are based from our regional community vision and ask the question, "where are we in relation to our vision?" Indicators are data measurements that are descriptive, not prescriptive in defining the emerging issues of our community. When civic leaders and community leaders convene to take action on plans to make the community a better place, indicators come back into the picture by measuring the outcomes and results of those actions. An assessment process takes place and the question is asked "Are we closer to where we want to be as a community?" Preview a PDF of our 2009-2010 report.
The Community Indicators Project houses more than 400 data sets to help tell the story of our region in four categories: economic, environmental, civic and social. To view the community’s vision and key indicator findings in each of these areas, please click on one of the following categories.
